HDBaseT at ISE 2016: Demos, Members & Drinks

Feb 1, 2016 2:01:00 AM

As you’ve probably noticed, HDBaseT has become a fixture in all of the major audiovisual shows, not only thanks to the Alliance’s efforts, but also to our members, who constantly introduce new products and solutions to the market, bringing all the benefits that HDBaseT has to offer.

At ISE 2016, we expect no different: The Alliance will have its own stand (Hall 5, Booth 5-U92), and several members will also have their stands at the show floor, showcasing the latest HDBaseT solutions to hit the market.

As space is short (and attention span even shorter), let me tell you what you should expect to see at the Alliance’s stand:

  • HDBaseT for Education: “Collaborative Classroom” may be the buzzword right now, but the reality is that it is… well, reality! Because technology enables the collaboration among teachers and students, in the same room or remotely. And one of the biggest enablers is HDBaseT.  Come to our stand to see how it beautifully works out.
  • HDBaseT in the Meeting Room: Meeting rooms, huddle rooms, conference rooms – call it what you may, but we still need it – a space where we can meet & conduct business with our colleagues, customers, and vendors. HDBaseT enables the necessary high-performance, low-latency connectivity for more effective meetings.
  • Members’ stand-in-a-stand: For the first time, the Alliance has invited members to share space at our booth. This is what we called stand-in-a-stand (I know, quite original…).  The idea is to allow members to show their solutions within the Alliance stand.  This year, at ISE 2016, we are hosting the following companies and their solutions:
    • Quantum Data’s780C and new 780D handheld test instruments, for testing of sources, sinks and repeaters with HDMI and HDBaseT input and output ports
    • Aten’s9×9 HDMI-HDBaseT switch, which can extend uncompressed 4K/HD digital video, audio, IR and power
    • Fibersystem’s HDBaseT over Fiber Optics solution, to extend your connection to 80 kilometers with no latency and loss in quality
    • Pulse-Eight’sbrand new neo:4 professional matrix, with ultra-HD premium support and HDCP 2.2, and free web-based apps that act as a virtual remote to control source devices
    • Zigen’s latest matrixes and switchers, with HDBaseT mirrored ports, audio de-embedding and HDCP 2.2 compliance
    • Silora’s full-bandwidth extender for 4K transmission over 100m, with HDCP 2.2 protection, RS-232 and 2-way IR extension
    • Valens’ system-on-a-module chipset for further simplification of the development of HDBaseT products
  • The Alliance’s HDBaseT Expert Installer Course is now part of InfoComm/ISE’s Master Class program, and will be presented on Wednesday, February 10th, at 10:00 am. Please register directly at the ISE site(www.iseurope.org)
  • And the best part – the “We Live in an HDBaseT World” Bar… We would like to invite you all to stop at our stand to have a drink (or two, or more) on us, to recharge your batteries, and have some fun.  In fact, on Wednesday, February 10th, we are hosting the great folks of AVNationto a great tweetup in our booth, from 4 to 6 pm.
(Every day we have a different surprise – check out our menu!)

So pack up & head to Amsterdam.  Despite the weather, it’s going to be a hot show!
