Every year, the HDBaseT Alliance holds its HDBaseT World Congress, inviting its members and industry leaders to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities in the market, but also to provide them with a unique opportunity to network, learn, challenge and influence.

Why, you ask, do we need such an event?  Isn’t it enough to attend ISE, InfoComm or even CEDIA?  What’s in it for me?

A lot, actually.

Let’s look at last year’s event.

In October 2018, Alliance members from all over the world gathered in scenic La Jolla, California for three days of presentations, panels, and discussions on the hot topics in the market, including AVoIP/HDBaseT over IP, cable counterfeiting, compression, and more. These sessions drew our attention to the challenges, risks and opportunities we are facing in the industry today.  However, unlike a presentation in a conference, what differentiated our event was that the discussions were interactive, thought provoking and actionable. Our goal is not to promote a specific product or solution, but rather discuss pros and cons, different sectors & different needs, expectations, difficulties and more.  The more interactive, the more value for our attendees. 

In last year’s event, we achieved tangible results, including advancements in the Medical Work Group activities. In addition, the Marketing Committee is advancing a new proposal to facilitate end-user/ interoperability checks, and important progress has been made on the development of new HDBaseT specs.

The 2018 Congress was not only productive, but also another step in advancing collaboration of Alliance members for the benefit of the market in general.

As we gear up for the 2019 HDBaseT World Congress, to be held November 5-7, in Hong Kong, we are looking forward to continuing in this groundbreaking path. As the market rapidly changes and progresses, it is imperative that we stay on top of our game to advance HDBaseT technology and influence the industry.  To do that, we need as many members as possible to contribute their views.  Attending ISE, InfoComm and other tradeshows is definitely important to advance your business, but attending the HDBaseT World Congress can have significant impact in the path of HDBaseT and the AV sector in general.  So don’t miss out.
