At CEDIA 2014, the HDBaseT Alliance ran its first HDBaseT Installer Expert Program. The three-hour course provides installers and integrators with a comprehensive overview of the technology, including do’s and don’ts, best practices, interoperability, practical demos and more. That first course counted with 70 attendees, who were the first to receive the HDBaseT Installer Expert Certificate.
Fast-forward to today, and the Program, both in its in person and online versions, has reached almost 3,000 professionals, in the US, England, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, China and more. The course has been taught in English, Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish. It now offers participants either 1.5 or 3 RUs (whether online and in person), in addition to the HDBaseT Expert Installer Certificate.
As we continue on this path, we are joining paths with distributors, Alliance members and other professionals to help us spread the word. These are AV installers and integrators who are committed to promote and advance the knowledge base of their fellow professionals, in different settings and languages. But the Alliance has standards (pun intended!), and as such, we invited a group of HDBaseT Expert Installer Program Trainers for the first ever “HDBaseT Train the Trainer Course” which took place last week.
These professionals – from Italy, UK and Brazil – got together for three intense days of lectures and practical demos to make sure they can carry the HDBaseT torch successfully. In addition to creating a tight-knit group of HDBaseT trainers, the course’s goal was to make sure these professionals had the best resources and knowledge base at their disposal to impart the HDBaseT knowledge but also to answer any questions that future attendees may have.
Congratulations to the first six HDBaseT Alliance Authorized Trainers! We are counting on you to spread the message that We Live in an HDBaseT World.
As for those of you who haven’t attended the HDBaseT Expert Installer Program, what are you waiting for? Check out our Events page for upcoming training courses, and make sure it is being taught by an Authorized Trainer. After all, let’s keep our standards up…
